My name is Jennifer Clark-Ewers. Here at Canines N' Ewe I teach people and dogs to herd sheep. Herding and working with border collies has been a major part of my life for the past fifteen years. During that time, I've gained respect throughout the United States as a handler, trainer, and judge of herding dogs and sheep dog trials. I have a systematic, direct, and supportive teaching approach to working with people and their dogs. I believe in developing individualized programs that match the strengths of the dog with the style of the owner. Together with my husband, Ron, we have developed a multifaceted herding dog training facility that we hope will address the needs of all types of herding dogs and handlers.
I've put together this site to help you learn more about us, our facility, the dogs and people I work with, and my lessons and clinics. Please feel free to contact us for more specific information. I hope you'll come to visit us in restful Lake Moreno, near San Diego, California.

We began building Canines N' Ewe in 2000. We bring expertise in all aspects of trialing. While Jennifer focuses on the handler and dog, Ron builds the equipment necessary to hold a trial and travel safely with dogs. Learn more about us!
We have some of the finest working border collies in the country. We also raise a variety of sheep with a whole host of different temperments and flocking instincts. Together we have created a great training combination.
My students come from all over the country and from all walks of life. Hear, in their own words, about their experiences at Canines N' Ewe!
