I have been training dogs since 1992. I teach people and dogs to herd sheep. Although I have experience working with all herding breeds, my current practice is limited to border collies and their owner/handlers.

I understand that handlers are all very different. They encompass a wide spectrum ranging from serious trial competitor, to weekend herding hobbyists, to rancher. I adjust our training goals accordingly. My desire is always to train without undue stress. I make every effort to give honest appraisals of my students' development and progress.
I currently have nine working border collies. Three of my dogs are successfully trialing in United States Border Collie Handler's Association (USBCHA) Open trials. I am also training four young dogs with hopes of trialing them sometime in the next year. They range in age from eight months to one year of age. My dogs and I have qualified for the USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals for the last five years.
I look forward to meeting you and putting together a special program for you and your dog!
