Sweep was born in 2001 and passed away in 2016. Sweep was one of a kind. Sweep was bred by Wilda Bahr out of her great combo Mirk and Val. Sweep was fairly loose eyed, and forward. Sweep was an extremely brave dog, who could move anything with ease. Sweep had a great ability to read sheep Sweep ran at the nationals in the Nursery as a long yearling where he placed 6th. at the finals. Sweep went on to later place 11th. in 2008 in the Open at the National Finals. Sweep made the final round at Soldier Hollow on 2 occasions and the semi finals at Meeker winning the first go round. Sweep was tough to run as I had to be on my game due to his forward presence. He was a blast to have on the trial string; when dogs struggled to keep the sheep forward I knew it was Sweep's day! Sweep was a genuine gentleman to live with, we have certainly missed him since he left us! Sweep bred great to Jesse, which is the foundation to many of the dogs in my kennel. I will forever be in debt to Wilda Bahr for selling me this great pup!
Gone but not forgotten…..Born 2002 Jesse is still going strong! Jesse came to me from Ken Willard. Jesse is off of Ken Willards Spectacular bitch Queenie x (Macrae's Ben) and off the fantastic dog he ran "Frecks". Jesse carried herself with lots of eye. A spectacular outrunner, and more of a line dog. Jesse was not the bravest dog in the kennel but has tons of heart. Jesse ran in the Nurseries at the finals where she placed 8th. Jesse became my Open dog as well running alongside Sweep. Jesse has the control of the kennel and still doesn't let the youngsters get away with much! Jesse bred fantastic to Sweep where we repeated that cross 3 times, producing Soot who has always been a favorite of mine! Jesse now spends her days lounging in the house and keeping the pups in line! Jesse passed away in September of 2018. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss our house dog. There will never be another like her. That’ll Do MOM
The first of the prodigy of Jesse x Sweep.. Soot born 2006; retired from trialing, still going strong. Soot was one of those "lifetime dogs" I'll never have another. Our connection was within seconds of being born. She has been my girl from the very start. trained easy and early, a natural. Great feel for sheep, great outrunner, quick and witty, with perfect eye. She has everything I'm looking for in a dog. Hard to beat as she was a true partner. I'll never replace her ability, and I sure miss running her. Today although having some age on her, will still go out to the trial field and run solid. There will never be another Soot.
4 year old Paige has proven herself on the team of trial dogs. Sired by Sweep out of our bitch named Sly. Paige is a fun loving dog, that loves to work. She has tremendous feel and a very direct approach on her sheep. Young yet, and still feeling some trial jitters, she is a fun dog to run and has a very bright future!
Born 12/2013 Cord comes to me from Anita Pratt in Idaho. Cord has some nice lines behind him. Cord has made the trial team, running Open and getting stronger with each experience. An outstanding outrunner, who has great feel for the sheep. His amount of eye is just about perfect. He lacks a bit of maturity yet, but is starting to get there. Cord hasn't been the bravest dog on my string, but with age comes more confidence. A lovely dog in the kennel and around the house; he's a joy to live with. Cord is known as "handsome" in my eyes and is my buddy on and off the field. I just love this little dog!
Plaid born 2011 was the first and only line breeding of Soot x Sweep. He is a phenomenal dog with forward presence and patience. He has not been the best trial dog although he is completely finished. He is a great finish dog and a lot of fun to work! I have been entering him as my 3rd. open dog this year.
Born 2011, off my K9znewe"Gunner" (Gun is a full brother to Soot). Chip comes with challenges! Hes my best in the lambing barn, a very laid back worker. Chip has nice quiet power and doesn't scare the lambs. Chip is difficult to live with, he's not real dog friendly, and his favorite past time is trash digging! Although Chip is a great asset to the operation, he pushes his limits! Chip is known here as "the bad seed"!
Lucy comes to me from Nancy Hebb in Michigan. I was looking to buy an outside bitch to add into my lines in the future. Lucy was born July of 2016. She coming along nicely, and starting to really partner up! Hopefully you will see Ms. Lucy running in the 2019 Nurseries. She has a lot of great traits, no tension, and will walk into anything! Outruns have needed opening, but it's looking like she is starting to get that. I enjoy working Lucy as she is a no bad days kind of dog!
Strait is offspring of a son of Sweep x Jesse. His mother is a nice work bitch I bought and sold as a yearling. Strait born March of 2017 and getting ready to start formal training. He has been on the sheep a handful of times and I like what I see! He's a happy go lucky fellow and goes by the nick name of "Stringo" (he's built like a dingo) Can't wait to see what the future holds for this guy!
Poncho born 2010 was the third cross of Jesse x Sweep. He runs a lot more like Jesse. He has a lot more eye than the others and runs with a bit of tension. He has tons of power and a great brave bite. He's been trialed a bit, but used mainly for a work dog.
Suede born 2009 was the second cross of Jesse x Sweep. He runs a lot looser eyed. He quite forward, fast a big running. He's got more flank to him than the other pups from previous litters. He is the most like sire Sweep. Brave and a great bite! I use Suede for "dirty jobs" here. A great farm dog, has done a fair share of trialing, and a nice set out dog.
Mouse is the same way bred as Strait. A repeat breeding of a Sweep x Jesse son "Chrome" and a bitch named Key! So far she is a little spitfire, loving the sheep. She was born September of 2017; it will be fun to watch her grow up. I am pretty excited about her!
Price a coming yearling was purchased as a pup from Nancy Hebb in Michigan. His superior breeding and looks peaked my interest. Hes been exposed to the sheep a few times and shows great promise. DNA clear in all categories available, we look forward to standing Price as a stud dog in the future if he comes on as well as we think! I can’t wait to get this pup going!!
